An exceptionally wise person once said 'If you just want to say things that everyone agrees with, become a pop singer.’ No offense to pop music, but if you are inquisitive and ready to share your insight, I know the ideal place to do it!
Let me formally invite you to Ergo, our debate club, open to both locals and international residents every Thursday, starting from March 5th. The sole requirement of participation is fluent English, in order to be able to express your ideas reliably.
What is there to gain? As our quick guide points out, debate involves a lot more than public speaking. In fact, being an introvert is no obstacle in debating. The real goal is discussing controversial views and policy proposals, confronting opposing perspectives and building irrefutable arguments. Regardless of previous experience, you can upgrade your research skills, practice critical thinking and who knows, even change your mind about a thing or two.
